The Jefferson Hotel occupies more than an acre of ground space and embodies in its construction the most modern and approved idea. The building is of white brick, stone and marble and in the view of the main lobby or salon here shown the marble effect appears carried out in all details of interior finishing; the massive and ornate being blending with the most admirable results. The gallery above and around the lobby or salon affords a spacious promenade. The hotel contains 430 guest chambers, all well lighted, ventilated, and luxuriously furnished and finished."
