2006OB-100Description
Plastic mold of a pair of female breasts mounted on a mauve board in a gray frame. The breasts, in white, extend 3-dimensionally out from the board. A casual line of sand flows from the left top of the frame, over the left breast, and continues down the board in a braided style until it forks into an upside down V at the bottom. On the bottom of the mold, written in black, is the title "Two Miles of Sand Castles" on the left and the author's name "Nicolino" on the right. In the center he has written 27/80 and March 20 '94. This is one of the many molds of female breasts used by 200 volunteers to create a 1.5 miles stretch of 1500 breasts sculpture casts on Stinson Beach. The artist had framed it and decorated it to commemorate the occasion and to raise funds to fight breast cancer.Collection
