Wildflower Shows were so popular they were moved to Oakland to accommodate the crowds. The 4 founders of the Stinson Beach Wildflower Show were: Leary, Anne/ Griffin, Marna/ Shockey, Roberta/Sherfey, Barbara (later Menzies). They would hike for miles through federal and park lands collecting rare species for the show.
This year's show featured native poisonous plants. The annual shows bacame so popular they were moved to a much larger venue in Oakland.
