Madelyn O'Brien, Carol Gilman, and Toby Bisson, watch TV coverage of the 1982/83 winter storms which flooded the town and washed away houses. Local Carol Ivy was a reporter for Channel 7 News & she is featured on the broadcasts.
Madelyn is the widow of Phil O'Brien, who was active in the fire department for decades, including as fire commissioner.
Carol Bennett Gilman was born & raised here. She attended church youth group, worked as beloved cook at the school for decades until her retirement, and cooked for Spaghetti/Bingo for many years, a popular recurring Community Center event.
Toby Bisson, also born & raised here, has been on the fire department for many years, including as Asst. Fire Chief. He is also President of the Community Center and has worked diligently to improve and preserve the Center.
