A black and white photo of the house built by Lyman Beacher DeCamp in 1907 as the weekend home. He moved his family there in 1913 when he retired. This photograph show s the east side of the house which has 2 large windows on both sides of an entry door. The house is on the hillside. Five steps up from the ground lead to the main floor which has a wrap-around porch. A lady is standing by the rail looking over the ocean surf which is also visible in the photo. The second floor, or the attic floor, has a large window facing east. There is also a lower basement floor where the first post office was born.
These collection of photographs were taken by shots from a family album Martha DeCamp Densmoore, grand daughter of Lyman Beacher DeCamp who was instrumental in bringing the post office to Willow Camp and named the town, Stinson Beach.Collection
