This is a digital photograph taken from page 139 of the book written by Jack Mason in 1973, Last Stage for Bolinas. The caption reads; "James Wallace Upton, Archie's father, was a partner in the Stinson Beach purchase (with Nathan Stinson). He died in 1873. Mr. and Mrs Earl Skinner Sr. Collection". The photograph shows a youngish man with a short hair and a short beard. He is wearing a buttoned vest over a white high collared shirt with a thin bow tie under his large outer coat. Only his upper body is showing with his right arm possibly resting on his waist and his left arm on a table top.Collection
