Scope and Content

Edward has a payment book dating from 1912 when his father bought a lot for $175 with $5 monthly payments. He then shows photos of early summers spent in SB when it was all pastureland and recalls his childhood swimming and fishing, and barbecues by the Steep Ravine hot springs. At 92, with the 5th generation still coming to town, he describes "old Stinson"-- its "main street," the Laffalot, Poison Pond-- and characters like Pop Robinson, Frenchy and other early residents.
