Scope and Content

Helen and her husband bought their current house in 1954 and spent summer here with their twin daughters, Linda and Elaine. She recalls her neighbors Sparkey and Col. White and the changes of the Calle over the years. Great story about the biggest 4th of July bonfire ever. Linda remembers coming to Stinson Beach as a youngster and things she and her friends would do -- fishing, clamming, playing under The Cove (beach restaurant) in the 1950's. She recalls Elwoods, Jack Richardson, the Surf Club and the old Rose Court Motel. And why she loves it here so much. Nancy Musick adds a few tales about local celebrities who have appeared on the Calle.
