Scope and Content

Walt remembers coming to Stinson Beach in 1978, renting a house from Jim Schwering, a fellow courtroom artist for local TV. He mentions several notorious trials he attended, beginning with Jack Ruby in Texas, and including Charles Manson, Patty Hearst, Sirhan Sirhan, Angela Davis, and most despicable Richard Allen Davis. He fills in back stories on the shootout at the Marin County Courthouse and the Oklahoma City bombings. He describes characters he met (and drew) in our local bars over the years, gaining membership in the Lagoon Club, the Boston Whaler he bought with Jim Schwering and Bob Popp, and the Gong Show. Finally he speaks about his activist mother, Frances.
