Scope and Content

Barbara remembers getting married to Chuck Abercrombie and moving to Stinson in 1962. After separating from her husband in 1970, she had to wait 10 years to build her house on Calle del Resaca, because of the building moratorium and drought years. She recalls several old-timers like Joe Avila, Anne Leary and Mr. Sellmer. She has tales about the El Nino Storms of 1982-1983 when 14 houses were lost in Stinson Beach, including Sid Boyle's, her neighbor, and the new houses that have gone up since.
