On masonite board painted red is an Indian in profile - shoulder length hair held in place with red bandana, yellow blanket with red and black stripe near top and red and blue dash and diamond shaped border on bottom covers his shoulder. Printed on the bottom of blanket over the trim are the words TAMAL CHIEF. Extending from his head in an arrowhead-shaped box that seems to indicate the direction to the left are the words DIPSEA HIGHWAY, printed in black on a white background. Highway One was once called, or nicknamed, Dipsea Highway. The artist copied the original sign in her possession and donated it to SBHS.Collection
