This is a movie on DVD made on the day of Goldie's wake in celebration of her life. She was a prominent member of The Grateful Dead family. Born in Marin, she made her home in Stinson Beach for many years. The movie include photos of her and her son, Ali, and her brother. The celebration began with a New Orleans style funeral procession. A 5-piece brass band led a procession through the town starting in front of the Parkside ending at the Community Center. Over 150 people and friends joined the procession. Wavy Gravy gave an opening eulogy and many people offered remembrances. At the community center, Dead member David Gans sang with Eric and Susie Thompson. Toward the end of the day an effigy of Goldie was burned on the beach with a rendition of "Happy Birthday." She died on Feb. 5th but this day April 14th was her birthday.
