Progressive Club Minutes of 1931
Meetings were at the Sea Beach Hotel. January meeting was cancelled because of bad weather.
Town roads were covered with gravel.
The Richmond Ferry was inefficient and The Marvelous Marin Inc. was written about this.
There was continuing discussion about which route, coastal or panoramic was more important for Stinson.
Concerns about people taking too many razor back clams and their resulting extinction were discussed.
Discussion of buying the entire sand spit as a park.
Discussion of getting Shoreline highway oiled.
Discussion of mosquitoes and the Mosquito Committee.
Mr. Fitzhenry said he had cleaned two water tanks for the town.
Progressive Club continued its support of Marvelous Marin Inc.
Discussion of advertising signs along the highway and tearing them down.
Approved paving the coast road.
Discussion of paving and oiling hill roads and curves. Telephoning residents about contributing to paving hill roads.from Airey's Store branching out both ways up the hill. Paving as far as the money stretches. Picnic to celebrate paving coast road.Collection
