Mrs. Gilbert reported that the library was being moved to larger quarters back of Van's Restaurant. She asked the club to purchase a copy of Grape of Wrath for the library, but the motion did not carry.
There was now talk of Willow Park and improving it. Mr. Kent contributed money to this effort. There was also a move to ask the sheriff's office for protect the area on weekends and in the summer.
Decided to investigate the feasibility of the extension of time both mornings and evenings in the local telephone service.
Motion to investigate moving the school into town.
Idea of having a community house on the Willow Park property.
The school move was dropped because of expense, but they did agree to install a phone.
They contributed $25 for a neon sign on Redwood Highway.
There was a problem with garbage on the beach. UC students dumping beer bottles from cars.
The Dipsea Race was being sponsored by the Marvelous Marin Inc. and the Stinson Beach Progressive Club.
After the race they discussed having it in June in the future. They also wanted to have a picnic for the men racing.
They discussed planting trees and shrubs at the entrance to the Park and they purchased some used benches for the park.
There was a voluntary collection to pay the taxes on the Church property of the Presbytery of the Redwoods. And a committee appointed to investigate converting the property to use of a community hall.Collection
