In 2014, Friends of Bolinas Stinson Beach Libraries & SBHS hosted the screening of "Rebels With A Cause", a documentary by Nancy Kelly & Kenji Yamamoto, narrated by Frances McDormand. It is the story of a regional California effort that grew into 14 National Seashores. It was the result of garden clubs, ranchers, farmers, conservationists, politicians from both parties, widows and volunteers working together. Some of the leaders gave talks afterward to the full house recounting the effort & strain it caused. See back page for speakers. Archives contain DVD of "Rebels with a Cause"
