2002-265 to 271 shows training dogs on the beach of Stinson for patrol purposes. The first 6 photos are of the dogs while 271 shows 7 patrol horses led by 3 Coast Guard men, probably at Tevis Ranch, presently National Seashore headquarters barn. See 2002-265A for the accompanying letter describing the WWII event in 1942-1944 when the US Coast Guard Patrol patrolled Muir Beach to Point Reyes with dogs and horses. The Unit was housed at the Surf Club building, presently the location of Stinson Beach County Water District building.Collection
