An original black and white group photo of young boys at the beach taken by Melton Ferris, father of Kirby Ferris. Six boys just out of the surf stand on the beach with houses and the hills behind.
Boys are from the left; Africa, Kit/ Greene, Roger/ Stewart, Craig/ Ferris, Kirby/ Gira, Bernie/ Ferris, Rudi. The photograph was given to the donor, ex-wife of Kirby Ferris, by his father Melton. Kirby Ferris started the town surf shop, Live Water in early 1970's at the Staples Building on Hwy 1. The shop was moved to the Avilla's Barn in 1980. The donor, Millicent Mead, took over the shop in 2001. Rudi Ferris, his younger brother, became the local plumber and known surf fisher. On the back of photo is written in pen: (2) Melton Ferris 460 Meva Albion; Kit Africa-Roger Green- Craig Stewart- Kirby Ferris-Bernie Gira, Rudi Ferris.
