A cross-section of fundraising letters sent to the community. Most funds were raised through July 4th activities, barbecues and annual rummage sales. Bingo nights and raffles were added in the '70s. In the beginning funds were used "to improve the property and erect the proposed buildings" (Community Hall, Firehouse and Community Chapel) on the acre of land donated by the Stinson Estate. Later funds were used for maintenance, upgrades, taxes and insurance.Collection
