Compiled from "The History of the Marin County Free Library" by Barbara Lee Mahony and oral histories of Gertrude Helfrich and Mildred Sadler. The first branch in Stinson was opened in 1936 and expanded to a 2-room cottage and later in 1943 moved to a house on county park property. In 1958 it was relocated to the Sea Beach Hotel and again in 1967 to the Algar Building until 1999. Documents in folder include photos and newpaper clippings.
