Scope and Content

The garbage dump was the first item discussed. The licensing issue for builders was dropped. Christmas party was a great success. There was discussion of building a harbor at Stinson for yachts and fishing boats. The Club agreed to sponsor a group of Cub Scouts. They also agree to sponsor Camp Fire Girls and Blue Birds. There was concern raised of children coming down the hill on bicycles. New owners of the Stinson Beach Store, Mr. & Mrs. Spaelsra, were introduced. Square Dancing was dropped for poor attendance. Cub Scouts were up a running but needed more Den Mothers. Plans were discussed for a big July 4th party. Discussed hiring boys to clean up the beach regularly. There was discussion over land for a community center. A sketch of the community center was drawn and will be presented. Concerns over water rates were raised and letter was sent to the Railroad commission. The corporation was set up for the Community center. The 4th of July Committee cleared $3000 . Square dancing came back. There were 64 entrants for the Dipsea which was being broadcast on KTIM. The new dial phone system was being installed . The Community Center board requested that the Progressive Club support the building of a fire hall. There was discussion about what would be wanted in a Community Center. A Boys Club under the sponsorship of the Recreation Committee was formed.
