Scope and Content

There will be a March of Dimes Card Party. Discussion with Stawberry Improvement Club of a Federation of Marin Improvement Clubs. Discussion of having the Community Church take kids from Stinson School to Bolinas for Religious instruction. Mr. And Mrs. Helfrich wanted to get out of leading Boy and Cub Scouts,. Set up the Marin Federation of Improvement Clubs but Progressive Club did not join. A rep. From San Francisco Youth Authority spoke about teenage problems. The May meeting was given over to Scouting and talks about how important it is. Discussion of Stinson Beach drinking water quality In June it was decided to let Scouting lapse due to dis-interest of most of the eligible boys. Lester Sadler was again in charge of the July 4th Celebration. Boy Scouts had several boys joining the Bolinas group. A hundred sandwiches and milk were needed for the "boys" after the Dipsea race. In the December meeting it was discussed that the nominating committee could not get candidates. If Stinson Beach park is taken over by the state Bill Woodington will lose his job. Concern was raised.
