1955 began with a new president, Louis De Ghelder not Mr. Cavenaugh who had been elected in 1954.
There was a petition to the Department of Health protesting the chlorinating of Stinson Beach Water.
Concern over an automobile junkyard on Calle del Sierra.
Then an official came to speak about Chlorination at the Feb. meeting.
He said that chlorination prevents pollution.
The Club voted to oppose Chlorination.
A "Seadrift" property owner, Lr. L.P. Monson asked to become a Progressive Club member.
The March meeting was held to discuss the proper course of action to prevent further occurrences of rioting such as had recetly happened. The need for a fulltime uniformed deputy was discussed.
Uniting the Bolinas and Stinson School districts was discussed.
Lester Sadler said that Director of the Community Center each member organization should sponsor a fund raising activity. Card nights were the big idea.
