Scope and Content

William Airey was president. Lester Sadler Jr. was nominated for the SBCC. There was concern raised about flood protection and a committee was set up . There must have been a serious flood that winter because they were talking about $100,000 in damages. The Flood Committee was asked for a survey of Easkoot Creek. And they asked that Marin be reimbursed for cleaning out the creek. This was all done by the Army Corps of Engineers. There was a plan for a crib where the creek broke through on the Community Center property. They were going to build a rock wall on Belvedere above the Community Center property. Bolinas had lower fire insurance rates due to better water system. Concern was raised about gnats and could the county destroy them at the same time they were spraying for mosquitos. In September there was talk about the need for a County Fire Truck because it had been moved from Stinson. There was also concern that the school was outside the fire district boundaries. The summer series of card parties was successful. Mr. And Mrs. Woodington moved from Stinson and the Club expressed its official regret. There were two deputy sheriffs residing in Stinson and that was enough. There were no nominations for club officers for the coming year. Water was being Chlorinated. Greyhound bus service might be stopped.
