After a failed attempt in January, Pres. Dougherty got passed a motion to join the Marin Federation of Improvement Clubs.
There was discussed the Summer Festival of the Arts at the West Marin Arts Center (Sand Dollar).
Beach area was evacuated because of a Tidal Wave Alert.
Some concern about West Marin Master Plan. And a desire to be involved in zoning.
June 2, 1964 voters rejected the "total" unification of Tamalpais Union High School District.
New proposal that would put Stinson in with San Anselmo, and west. Lots of information about redistricting and unification.
No mention of the Dipsea Race or July Carnival.
Major discussion of the West Marin Master Plan with a four lane highway through town and along Bolinas Lagoon. [No great concerns apparent ]. Concern was for knowing the zoning for West Marin.
Concern with George Leonard about water shortage.
There can be no "turn off" signs along two lane roads as these are for freeways.
Underground Utilities Dougherty in favor. But perhaps membership in Progressive Club was too small to talk for the whole community.
