Scope and Content

No quorum for Jan. meeting, none held in Feb. and no quorum in March. Ten members were present for April meeting. Because of poor attendance, quarterly meetings were decided upon. Discussion of addition to the firehouse. Meeting in Oct. was a panel discussion of the Bolinas Lagoon Development Plan. Change is inevitable so we must plan. What do we want to preseve. Conservation League was concerned that development meant wildlife problems. Destroying Kent Island was seen as a bad idea. Dr. Finley said that unless a plan is developed, the lagoon as we know it will disappear. He wanted an attractive development. Any plan must be a compromise and no one to preserve the lagoon for any special group. Concern about sewage waste ruining the Lagoon. The Audubon Canyon Ranch representative was really against developing the area. Siltation is not a problem as photos from 50 years ago show.
