Scope and Content

24 members were present for January meeting. Pres. Volz presiding. Discussion about securing more interest in the Club. In Feb. there was a meeting with 100 people attending. Panel discussion of the dissolution of the Harbor Board. Everyone agrees there is a need for more water in the lagoon.Do not turn the lagoon development over to the county or the state. There was talk about the need for humans to be able to use the environment. In March Hugh Dougherty was again Chairman. Discussion of house numbers. Dipsea Race has grown very large maybe a 1000 runners. Should women and children be allowed to run? The subject of the Oct. meeting was "The Mess We Are In" particularly litter and traffic congestion. Suggestion for anti-littering legislation. Next was discussion of cable TV. Endorsed the purchase of Point Reyes National Seashore.
