They are, left to right a man wearing a hat, a white shirt and dark vest and holding a jacket on one arm, and two ladies wearing hats and long skirts, one in a dark blouse and a shawl, the other in a white blouse. All are looking out over a body of water (the Bolinas Lagoon). There is a sand spit bordering the far side of the lagoon with the ocean on the other side.
