1945/46 - Bridie & William D. Curr with their son Richard/Dick at what was 9 Francisco Patio, now 9 Joaquin Patio.
Their short story: My grandfather (William Curr) was an immigrant from Scotland and Protestant. My grandmother (Bridget Curr) was an immigrant from Ireland and Catholic. They met in SF and fell madly in love. They married in 1935. My grandfather immigrated with is entire family; parents and siblings. My grandmother came alone to join siblings that had already immigrated – she stayed close to all those siblings and even those that used to come visit from Ireland. My grandparents lived in SF after they married and then in Marin City for a short time. During this time, they also spent a lot of time at Stinson Beach. They eventually moved there. They like the solitude and lifestyle that they could have without judgement. They were somewhat bohemians in the sense that they shied from society's conventional norms and expectations. My grandmother was that way my whole life and my father was as well.
