Gray 8 Lunch and Palmer's Service Station.Gray 8 Motors. Run by the Palmer family. The family consisted of Sam and Kay and their children Tom,Robert,Stella and Jean.This was the quintessential truck stop in the 50's.The restaurant had10 stools,4 tables and a Wurlitzer jukebox. Additional sections were added tot he building over time.A small building behind,became the John Provost' Barbershop.In 1962 ,the original one story building was torn doown and the modern form of the building(two stories,with a basement)was built. In the 1970's it was housed by the Royal Bank and Silver Cue Billiard Hall. Currently (2025) Cash Money Cheque Cashing Company is housed here.
