Homes behind him on King St W belonged to from the left, Wolleston's, Hazel Emberly, Coxall's, who ran the IGA and McNeil's Bakery, which sat at the SW corner of what is now Collingwood Apts at Second St N, Not in the picture to the left was 34 King St W , Dora Fleming's house purchased by Greg Armstrong's grandparents in 1937, now Parkview Apts.
Jack Walker served on Stoney Creek council from 1926 to 1932.
He also served as captain of The Stoney Creek Home Guard Rifle Association in 1916 when the unit won a shooting contest held by The Klein and Binkley Jewellery store.
New homes developed in the 1950's on the lower level of the escarpment in lower central Stoney Creek were named Walker Height's as Jack at one time owned much of the property that these were built on.
