1956 R.L. Hyslop and Grade 7 and 8 champs.Also known simply as Stoney Creek Public School #3 it was renamed later to R. L. Hyslop in 1958 in memory of former principal Robert Lloyd Hyslop who headed this school from 1918-58. A remarkable length of time for one principal to run a school.

Originally built 1881 on the site was a two room school house. It was expanded several times. This building was demolished in 1965 to make room for a new modern school.
R. L. Hyslop was closed again after the school year ended in June 2021. The new building itself was demolished in October 2023.
