S.S. #3 School, Stoney Creek. Later known as Stoney Creek School and R L Hyslop School.
Opened in 1880 and was eventually named for R.L Hyslop, a longtime teacher and principal at the school. Mr Hyslop retired in 1958 after 40 years of service and the school was named for him at this time.
