The Exchange Hotel 1901Description
The Exchange Hotel was located at the corner of Mountain Ave Sand King St E ,on the south east corner.
This hotel offered hotel rooms to weary travelers ,as well as a place to stable and feed their horses for the night. The hotel had a windmill to pump water, which was still standing, long after the hotel was gone.
In 1875 ,Frederick Hull was the proprietor of this hotel. The weigh scale for the toll road can be seen in the foreground.
