Winona Institute Hall
Housed the Post Office, Traders Bank and Public Hall
Traders Bank was located in this building from 1903 to 1912 when it was absorbed by the Royal Bank of Canada which occupied the site till 1964. On November 24, 1964 they moved to their own premises across the street. 2018 they moved to their current location 2024 at Winona Crossing. Its previous location is occupied by Desjardins Insurance.
The door to the right of the bank was the entrance to the Post Office which was located here from 1901 to 1951. Notice the railway tracks in front of the building. The premises west of the Post Office were used as a waiting room by the Hamilton, Grimsby and Beamsville Electric Railway. In the west part of the building was a grocery store. The west door was the entrance to the Winona Institute Hall where public meetings. were held for many years.
