Scope and Content

The document is a newspaper clipping from the Youngstown Vindicator on July 1, 1945. It discusses the will of Lydia Sutliff Brainard who passed away on April 29th of that same year. The newspaper clipping discusses how Lydia wanted to donate the house on 323 High Street that she owned jointly with Phebe to the city to create an "Old Ladies Home" or to the Western Reserve Medical College for a research center. Her will was based on the premise that she would outlive Phebe which was not the case. There are two copies of the article.
