Description

A letter to Levi Sutliff and Calvin Sutliff from Allen C Sutliff. Allen writes to his brothers asking them to come to Porty Byron and help him purchase land and if they cannot come then send him a few hundred dollars so he can purchase land. If Levi is able to come, Allen asks him to bring his stove since it would cost more to get one there than it would to bring it to him as well as the table linen that was being woven by Mrs Snow and a piece or two of cotton sheeting and a piece of Calico. Allen writes that merchants have some goods but most are cheap. He asks for some cheese and butter to sell since it would make a lot of money for him.
