Description

Letter from Allen Sutliff to Levi Sutliff. Allen writes about his childrens' health. He then goes into writing about the latest in this business including an ad that cost $5 and waiting for payment of claims and services performed. Allen looked back through his dockets and transcripts to find one his overlooked and handed it in to be closed then finishing up his business as that county's Magistrate. Allen writes about the death of his child from a severe burn(?) and how it has left a dreadful pain in their family. Laurel(?) B Trotter of Vienna was to deliver a letter to his father about the child's death. Allen traveled 2 or 3 hundred miles in the territory for land and has never saw anything more beautiful, fertile with good water. Levi made an agreement in a previous letter to go out to Allen to help him in January and agreeing to loan him $300 for the purchase of the land. The continues on with the low value of goods in the area and asking for Levi to bring some goods from Ohio to sell.
