The State of Ohio, Geauga County, ss:
To the Sheriff of Ashtabula County - GREETING: WHEREAS, John C. Morrison for the use of John C. Morrison & Son - Did, on the 24th day of June A.D. - 1839 - before the court of Common Pleas for said County of Geauga recover Judgment against Nathan Loring & Peter Mankill - for the sum of three hundred forty four dollars and twelve cents damages - and also twelve dollars and eighty five cents - costs of suit in a certain action of assumsit - whereof the said Nathan Loring and Peter Mankill stand - convicted as appears of record.
You are, therefore, hereby commanded, - that of the goods and chattels, and for want of goods and chattels, then of the lands and tenements of the said Nathan Loring and Peter Mankill in your bailiwick - you cause to be made the damages - and costs aforesaid, and have those monies before the said Court, next to be holden at Chardon on the 12th day of November next.

In obediance to the covenants of this writ I have made one hundred & seventy dollars and ten cents as will appear on the back of this execution with the receipts of Plaintiffs Atty attached for one hundred and sixty one dollars - and Levied this writ on one roan mare one buggy waggon and on one horse harness and not Sold for want of time to advertise.
