Description

Blouse part of a Swedish folk costume (folkdräkt) from Skön, Västernorrland. Beige with lace trimming on the collar, in the area where the button slots are, and on the sleeves decorated with circles, ovals, and diamond shapes and cut-outs of diamond and trapezoid shapes.

Context

The folk dress was owned by Margareta Eriksson Backlund who lived from 1898 until around 1969. She arrived in the U.S. in 1927.
