Framed dalmålning-style original oil painting by Hans Prins (1976). This painting depicts traditional folk art with symmetrical floral patterns and scenes of everyday life. In the middle is an intricate floral arrangement stemming from a vase. The flowers are painted in bright reds, blues, and oranges. On either side of the central floral design are two figures working. On the left, one carries two buckets over his shoulder. On the right, one is working with a tool, appears to be digging or planting.Type of Painting

Hans Prins was born August 9, 1908 in Kopparberg county, and died there October 11, 1999. Prins was a Swedish painter, who studied art at The Technical School in Stockholm. He also traveled to Norway to study in mural painting. His art consists of still life landscapes from Sweden and Norway.Acquisition
