Elizabeth Göranson was a Swedish painter who was active in Chicago from the 1920s-40s. Her name is mentioned in various Swedish American art exhibitions. ("The Chicago Exhibition of Scandinavian-American Artists in 1929," Rolf H. Erickson, Swedish American Genealogist, Vol. 9, No. 2, 1989; "South Side Club Holds Exhibition of Swedish Art," Chicago Tribune, Dec. 1928). She is even included in a list of Chicago-area artists ("National Art Week," Art Insitute of Chicago, 1940).
