Dalkullan Publishing Company was established in the late 1890s by Captain Anders L. Lofstrom. Lofstrom, originally from Skåne, Sweden, first opened the shop in Chicago to sell tobacco and newspapers. Dalkullan later became an imported gifts store and publishing house. The business was first located on Oak Street and then moved up to N. Clark Street in Andersonville in 1910 until closing in 1972.Acquisition
