Several individual choruses in Chicago formed the American Union of Swedish Singers (A.U.S.S.) in 1892 to promote Swedish chorus singing and Swedish songs. Their first public appearance was Sweden Day at Chicago’s World’s Columbian Exposition in 1893. Today dozens of U.S. and Canadian choruses are members of A.U.S.S.Acquisition
