Scope and Content

Graduation program from the Augustana Hospital Training School for Nurses held on May 26, 1911 at 8pm at Salem Lutheran Church. Includes program, class list and song.

Context

Augustana School of Nursing opened in 1894 at 480 Cleveland Avenue to train nurses of Scandinavian descent. The school first admitted non-Scandinavian students to the training program in 1905. By the time it closed in 1989, Augustana graduated over 3,000 nurses.
