Description

Lithograph by Jordi Arkö on two sides entitled "Hemma och i Österled #10" (Home and Eastwards). One side depicts two men playing white horns surrounded by many figures, including a man playing drums, figures playing trumpets and French Horn-like instruments, a figure standing upside down, and many more who are performing acrobatics of all sorts. The other side consists of six figures in red, two of them are dressed as jesters.

Jordi Arkö was born in 1951 in Stockholm, Sweden. Arkö studied at Stockholm University until 1974 and went on to study at the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm until 1980. Arkö went on to find his place in the art world, not only by creating, but also by teaching, working as an Artistic Director, and as an Art Consultant. Arkö is prolific in various forms of printmaking, with talents in painting, design, and illustration as well. He has had solo exhibitions in Sweden and worldwide and has been part of many other exhibitions. This drawing is a lithograph. A lithograph is a work that is traced on stone, zinc, or aluminum and transferred onto paper by a special printing process.
