Cross-stitch piece entitled "Stokholmia"

Context

This cross-stitch depicts seventeenth-century Stockholm. It features the Storkyrkan (Stockholm Cathedral) in the center and the Katarina Kyrka (Church of Catherine) to the side. This work was created by Monica Carlson, a Swedish immigrant. She was born in Sweden in 1941 and emigrated to the US in 1960. Carlson worked on this project for over a year, and used a pattern based on a design created by Eva Rosenstand.
