Carl Efraim Wallin (March 22, 1879 - November 12, 1968) was born on March 22nd, 1879, in Varby, Östra Husby Parish, Östergötland. He immigrated to the United States, first to Denver where he attended Reed Art School (1903-1904) and then to Chicago in 1904 where he also studied at the Art Institute of Chicago (1905-1908). Symbolic fantasy and illustrations of biblical and mythological figures was his niche.
