Fritiof Persson was a Swedish artist born in 1897. He immigrated to the United States after serving in the Canadian Army in WWI. After studying at the Art Students League of New York, he moved to Los Angeles around 1930. He became known for his desert landscape paintings of the Mojave of Colorado deserts. He passed away in San Bernardino, CA in 1957 due to a gastric ulcer. Persson exhibited at the Scandinavian-American Art Society in 1939.Acquisition
