A concertina, a musical instrument which resembles an accordion. The concertina is divided into three sections, the front of which is black and made of wood, the middle which is composed of nine pages of brown paper which are decorated with pink French Horn-like structures, eight of which have grayish-silver metallic borders and the back of which is black and made of wood.Context
The musical instrument was owned by the donor's grandfather, Nils Peter Johnson, who immigrated to the U.S. in the 1880's. He owned a small milk dairy at 1940 N. Kedzie Ave. in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood.Acquisition
