Collection of archival material related to Anna Louise Swanson, her parents Anna Elisabet Martinsson and Karl Gustaf Ragnar Swanson/Svensson, her uncle Maurits Martinson, and various other family members. The material spans from 1918 - 1992 and undated. Context

Anna Louise Swanson was born in Oak Park, Illinois on May 24, 1931. Her parents Anna Louise Elisabet Swanson (born: Martinson) emigrated in 1925 and Ragnar Swanson emigrated in 1914 from Sweden to the United States. Anna Elisabet was born on November 9, 1899, in Hällaryd in the province of Blekinge, Sweden and lived in Lycke, Elisberg, Blekinge before immigrating. Her profession was listed as hembiträde (maid) upon arrival in the United States. She died on April 19, 1992. Ragnar Swanson (born: Karl Gustaf Ragnar Svensson) was born on July 16, 1896, in Asarum parish, Blekinge. He was called to military service in the United States 1918. His profession in the United States was electrical worker.
